Simple Home Update | Magnolia, TX
The Metz family might be one of my most favorite families to have worked with thus far. A year before MHI was born, Jenny came to our home in Houston & kept telling me she wanted me to come decorate her home. I laughed. Life was crazy with a 3 year old and newborn & who was I to tell her how to decorate her home? I was just a stay at home mom. Once we moved closer to this sweet family, I offered my services to her to test the waters of building a business and to start my portfolio.
They bought their home from her in laws, and it had just been renovated. They moved in with all of their furniture from their old home & made it work the best they could. Eighteen months after living in it, they decided it was time to make this house their home. They wanted to brighten up the space, add a few farmhouse touches & put their personality in it.

The unique piece we brought into the space took months to gather. We shopped online, at flea markets, local antique stores, and brought in some things they already had. I feel like we truly captured the personality of this fun family in these spaces.
