Farmhouse Bedroom

Wanting to create a perfectly-styled farmhouse bedroom but don’t know where to start? You don’t need shiplap to pull it off! The farmhouse look is all about incorporating cozy, comfortable, natural layers with your bedding, drapery and accessories. Mixing metals with soft textures and homey finishes really bring the farmhouse look together!

Here’s a farmhouse-style bedroom from our Giddings, Texas Farmhouse project! You can see more images from it by heading to our blog post feature on the project. We pulled this room together by choosing a vintage-inspired iron bed frame as the base for layering a fluffy white duvet, textured pillows, a linen quilt and classic plaid prints. Woven blinds with soft linen drapes really finished off the room while adding function. We chose to add a gray rug with light and dark tones that coordinate with the paint color and bedding while adding something soft for guest’s feet!

In terms of accessories, simple glass lamps keep the room light and airy and a light-washed wood nightstand set adds to the farmhouse feel. One touch we love to add to guest rooms is a tray with candles, greenery and magazines or books for your guests to enjoy. You can even add bottled water or little treats on the tray when your guests arrive!
