3 Easy Home Facelift Ideas

Looking to give a room in your home a refresh but don’t know where to start? Maybe you’re on a tight budget? Here are 3 of our favorite ways to instantly refresh a room!

  1. Paint! The power of paint is truly remarkable y’all! Whether you’re painting walls, cabinets, built-ins, trim or even the ceiling, paint can make a HUGE difference in how a room looks. You can either hire a professional for a paint job or do it yourself! Whatever you’re comfortable with or have the budget for. If you have the money to hire a professional, it’s probably worth it but don’t let that stop you from tackling the job yourself!

  2. Change out the lighting. If you still have builder-grade lighting in your home, consider swapping it out and updating it. Boob-lights still residing in your home? Time to say good-bye. You don’t have to be an electrician either! Most lighting is pretty easy to change out after watching a YouTube video or two. We place high importance on lighting because it really helps define the style of the room. This includes ceiling fans with light-kits! Either update them or ditch the light kit if you have can-lights in the room.

  3. Update your cabinet hardware. This is an easy DIY project you can do in one day! Instantly refresh the look of the room by changing out hardware. It’s a small update that can make a big difference! If you don’t have cabinet hardware, add some! Many semi-custom and track home builders don’t install cabinet hardware and we think hardware is an absolute must. You can find great, affordable hardware that won’t break the bank online! You can also find really nice, expensive hardware online if you’d rather spend some money.
