Cypress Southern Casual Project
Our Cypress Southern Casual Project is one of our favorite projects to date! Well, we probably say that about all our projects but it’s because they’re all so special and unique in their own ways. This project really encouraged us to get creative with colors, patterns and think outside the box. This sweet young family were in the process of building their first home; a semi-custom house located in the heart of the ever-growing Cypress, Texas. The homeowners were looking to have a tailored home that felt warm and comfortable yet polished, as well as kid-friendly and great for entertaining. We set budget boundaries from day one and did our best to check all their boxes, stay in budget and intentionally design a beautiful home for them to enjoy for years to come.

What brought you to Moore House Interiors?: The design style and the warm and attentive staff.
What did you enjoy about working with Moore House Interiors?: Ashley and her team are incredible people who are passionate about making the clients' visions come to life. MHI always made us feel heard, understood, and validated throughout the process. Specifically, they are attentive and intentional from initial consultation to final follow-up. MHI worked hard to make sure our design reflected our family's lifestyle and needs. More importantly, they made it their mission to make us happy and never pushed their own agenda or style on us. They stayed within our budget and produced a design project that far exceeded our expectations.
Would you recommend us to a friend? Why or why not?: Yes absolutely, without hesitation or reservation. I have already made several referrals (including my mother, which might be the highest accolade).
What motivated you to hire a designer? Was there a particular reason you chose Moore House Interiors?: I wanted to work with a designer because my family was moving into a new house and I wanted a team to help me create a warm environment for entertaining and hosting. I always thought designers required a "break the bank" budget to have a beautiful home but MHI quickly showed me that a gorgeous home is attainable with a conscientious and talented team. I chose MHI after several designer consultation meetings because Ashley was relatable, kind, and competent. I had confidence in her commitment to me and my family.
Do you feel our design fees are fair based on the service you received?: Yes and I also appreciated MHI's integrity with fees throughout the process. For example, when changes arose with our built-ins, they split the cost with us to remedy the situation. When COVID required numerous deliveries and installation days, they did not double charge us.
Had you worked with a designer prior to working with us? If so, what was that experience like?: No
What was your favorite part of working with us? What was your favorite part of your design experience?: In all honesty, I learned so much about myself from this process. MHI was available and attentive to my needs throughout the process. I felt heard, understood, and acknowledged each step of the way. No question was too foolish and they were never too busy for my calls. Yes, they produced an incredible final design but what makes me refer them to friends and family is the humanistic component of MHI. They care and are committed to making their clients happy.
Do you think investing in a designer's services is worth it compared to doing it yourself? Do you feel a designer brings value to the process?: 100%. I still stand in my home and look around thinking "wow, I can't believe I get to live here." MHI is a five-star concierge service at an attainable price. They brought unexplainable value to this process, especially during COVID. I had no desire to manage contractors, communicate with vendors about delays, and schedule delivery services. Frankly, as a full-time working mom, I didn't want to do add that stress to my life. And the end product? My house is filled with so many unique features that are appropriate for our life stage but still so breathtaking and meaningful.
Would you hire a designer again for a future project? Any designer!: Yes! I am already working on Phase 3/4/5 in my head :)
Do you have any additional feedback for us? Anything in particular you would like to share with potential future clients?: There are lots of firms with good designers but what makes MHI unique is that they have a team of compassionate people.
